Add Some Color to Your Summer
Our animals keep our hands and land well occupied. Luckily, our friends and fellow farmers, Carl and Tina Benson, own and operate Rolling Fork Farm in the beautiful hills of Forkland, Kentucky. They are a certified organic fruit and vegetable farm - specializing in a large variety of vegetables as well as strawberries and raspberries. We are teaming up with the Bensons this summer to offer St. Asaph customers a chance to join their CSA. As a member of the Rolling Fork Farm Organic CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) you purchase a ’share’ of the farm’s produce for the growing season.
This is a great opportunity to bring delicious and new food to your table - the baskets are always different and filled with the freshest seasonal produce.
Early season baskets might have mixed salad greens, baby lettuces, arugula, tat-soi, mizuna, baby kales and mustards, spinach, hakuri salad turnips, French breakfast radishes, beet greens, and red butterhead lettuce.
Later season baskets will include sweet corn, broccoli, new fingerling potatoes, sweet carrots, peas, beans, garlic, basil, tomatoes, zucchini, sweet potatoes and winter squash.
Full Shares, geared toward families of four to six, are $700 for the 26 week season of May through October, a little over $27 a week.
Half Shares are appropriate for smaller families or couples and are $375, that’s under $15 a week.
